Santos Ortiz of Spanish origin, and Ioana Paunescu from Romania, started from scratch in 2011. Far from what is considered the norm in this sector, Ego Bodegas is not the culmination of a rich tradition inherited by its owners. Nor was it the result of a burning desire to develop the marvelous Vineyards or a mission to learn about the amazing world of wine.

Grape Variety/Varietal: 70% Moscatel, 30% Chardonnay

Appearance: Shiny golden-yellow

Aroma/Bouquet: Ample ripe fruit aroma with typical floral notes of Moscatel grapes.

Flavor Profile/Palate: Long, greasy in the mouth, leaves a pleasant taste at the end.

Appearance: Deep-red hue with purple edges

Aroma/Bouquet: Intense aromas of red and ripe fruit with cherry, strawberry, pomegranate and dried herbs

Flavor Profile/Palate: Pleasantly creamy, accompanied with touches of toasted tones. It is fruity and flavourful in the mouth, meaty and toasted with a soft and ripe tannins

Time spent in aging: 4 months in American oak.

Grape Variety/Varietal: 75% Monastrell, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon

Appearance: intense cherry-red hue with violet shade

Aroma/Bouquet: Delicate plums, dry tobacco aroma with high roast and smoky features

Flavor Profile/Palate: It is structured, subtle and smart palate, ripe appetizing and sweet tannins marked by elegance.

Time spent in aging: 12 months in French & American oak
