The distillate is then aged in small American white oak barrels until it reaches optimum maturity, resulting in a complex and delicious spirit. Distilled in 2005 and matured in American white oak casks, this blended rum from Diplomatico has been finished in oloroso sherry casks for a year, creating complex layers of fruit.
